The M50 is a great camera for beginners. 24 Megapixel is well enough for any type of still images. I would stay with 1080HD for video shooting and the camera and will not disappoint you. It is not weather sealed, so don't take it
with you for scuba diving, but the images and shooting flexibility are excellent. It is small and light, no need to carry a brick. Love it!
