Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max released. Don’t be fooled by the name.

Updated: Sep 13, 2022

Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max has 48 Megapixel sensor and this is a marketing trick.

Don’t be fooled by new iPhone 48 Megapixel camera sensor. Apple use QUAD-pixels sensor in new iPhone. In other words four pixels create one pixel on taken photo.

To have honest resolution of iPhone 14 Pro camera you have to divide 48 Mpix by four, it will be equal to old good resolution of 12 Megapixel.

Which is not bad at all, with the only thing – it’s not 48 Mpix.

This is well known marketing trick used by Google and Samsung manufacturers as well. Their high-res sensors in smartphones are based on quad-pixel matrix. I’m not surprised, just a sigh of relief.

P.S. That is one more thing. I'll not use 2x camera zoom on iPhone 14 Pro, as it another marketing trick.

Thanks Apple. I'm still enjoying your phones
